Trunk!

C is passing around the "rectangle" shape of the month.

I cut two long and two short strips of paper. The children are taking turns putting the strips of paper together to form a tree trunk.

S is dancing to "Shake the Trunk," to the tune of "Row your Boat."

The kids are exploring with the pattern blocks. They are arranging them into different shapes and patterns.

K created her own shape design on a blank mat.

The children learned they could determine the age of a tree by counting the rings inside a tree trunk.

C arranged her rings to look like the inside of a tree.

C is drawing circles on the inside of her trunk.

The kids are in action. They are using blocks and sticks to make pretend trees.

The children are listening to a folktale about George Washington.

They are acting out the story. K is chopping wood.

K learned if she is honest and tells the truth, people will always trust and believe what she says.

K earned an honest badge.

The children watched a short clip of an ermine popping out of a tree trunk.

Now they get to make their own tree trunk surprise.
