Ocean Plants!

The children enjoyed making ocean designs out of the tangram shape manipulative's from the Mother Goose Time monthly kit.
Today's weather is cloudy and rainy.
The kids had fun singing a song about kelp. We learned that kelp is a plant at the bottom of the ocean.
The children explored the sea animal photos, and drew their favorite sea creatures. L drew her family and a whale in the ocean.
The kids enjoyed looking at the different sea creatures. They learned that the ocean has 3 zones.  We found out that ocean plants live in the top layer of the ocean (sunlit zone) because it is closest to the sun, and plants need the sun to grow.

Afterwards, we taped the sea animals and plants along the different zones of the ocean.
