| The children enjoyed making ocean designs out of the tangram shape manipulative's from the Mother Goose Time monthly kit. |

| Today's weather is cloudy and rainy. |

| The kids had fun singing a song about kelp. We learned that kelp is a plant at the bottom of the ocean. |

| The children explored the sea animal photos, and drew their favorite sea creatures. L drew her family and a whale in the ocean. |
 |
| The kids enjoyed looking at the different sea creatures. They learned that the ocean has 3 zones. We found out that ocean plants live in the top layer of the ocean (sunlit zone) because it is closest to the sun, and plants need the sun to grow. |
 |
| Afterwards, we taped the sea animals and plants along the different zones of the ocean. |
