| The "Northern Lights" were twinkling in the sky this morning. |

| I cut the top of a pumpkin prior to the activity. Then, I allowed the children to take turns slicing the already cut section of the pumpkin with a plastic knife. They really thought they were cutting through the pumpkin all by themselves. |

| C is using her muscles to cut through the pumpkin. |

| Now it is time to explore and see what it looks like on the inside. |

| I partially pounded golf tees into the pumpkin. Then, the kids took turns pounding the golf tees in. |
